Feathr Duster question

I have a lovely feather duster in my tank and it appears to have "branches" geowing off the tube. I see this small 3 pronged "branch" and a couple small "nodes". Is this a good thing?

Sorry not sure what you are describing, a pic would help. If it doesn't seem to be bothering anything and the feather worm isn't in any trouble, then just sit back observe, and enjoy. Its probably some abnormallity with the way the worm built its tube, or perhaps some form of algae.
