FedEx Home Delivery

Has anyone ever used FedEx Home Delivery? I noticed that if the location isn't too far, say under 5 hours away that FedEx Home Delivery will deliver in 1 day and a significantly reduced rate, like $7 instead of $35. Just wonder if anyone else has used this service and either liked or didn't like it.

in the right situation, it can work out. (for really short trips) but anything further you can look a 3-5 day delivery times. same thing with UPS ground. relatively cheap and anything within 6hours drive is usually there over night, but if its not their over night.........

also make sure u look in to the fact that if u ship ground they haev the right to take up to 5 days to make it there and thats 5 working days m-f. I would be very careful with that this time of year if i was you. If you want to play the odds then its a good thing but better off paying the lil extra to make sure its there overnight.

I'm on the other side.
UPS guarantees shipping the following day ground (not during christmas though) in your area. their map shows "zones" where if you're in zone 1, it is guaranteed to be there the next day anywhere in zone 1. so, i have been able to ship to new york, mass, and rhode island next day for 6 bucks. I've done this with chaeto, zoos, anenomes, etc.

thanks all. I think I may ship a test package since it is only $6 and see how long it takes. I'll wait to after Christmas. I live in Greenville, SC and it would sure be great to be able to ship to Atlanata, Charlotte, Knoxville, Charleston, Raleigh, etc for $6 or $7 a package. I'll make sure and post how it goes.

I have had several packages shiped Fedex home and they are slightly better than UPS. IMO UPS has trouble reading the box, THIS SIDE UP means nothing to these jerks. Out of all three(UPS Fedex USPS) I like Fedex the best(for now). USPS has been a little rough in the past, but good packing practices can do wonders for heavy handed package people.
