I'm just wondering, are the ghost feeder shrimp everyone uses to feed picky fish the same that you can buy for a freshwater aquarium, or are they actually marine animals?
I believe that most sold in LFS are actually brackish....I get mine from the LFS to feed my Fuzzy Lionfish (not finicky but fun to watch) and he admitted that the feeder shrimp tank is brackish but no one really cares/ask.
Wait, so does that mean, i could breed ghost shrimp in my saltwater tank? Will they survive breed? Sorry to add a question to someone elses thread but i figured it's close enough question, and not worth making another thread for.

Occasionally you can get ghost shrimp to live in saltwater. Not typically though.

They are not the same. The marine shrimp are called "Shore Shrimp", Palaemonetes vulgaris.
