My brain is exactly like yours except I've had it 6 days and I don't see any signs of it eating. The first 2 days it was hard yet colorful and a tiny bit receding on 2 sides..now the receding is almost gone & is puffed up but I don't see any feeder tentacles(sp?)**geez,I hope I didn't spell that the TOTALLY wrong way** at all either day or night.

Katara,
They usually feed at night after the lights are off, after feeding your fish, turn off your lights and wait around 15-20 minutes then using a flashing light, look and see if he is starting to open. If he is not, hold a piece of shrimp or some type of meating food on the brain and he should start to open. They feed very slow, so you might have to hold the food until he gets a good grip on it. I have trained my brain to feed during the day.
Hope this help,
Ron

MEBIGLOSER, Those anemones on the right look kind of suspicious.
WATERFALLER, you can feed a torch. Lay small pieces of shrimp on them when the tenticales are out and whalla, they also like brine, mysis.

I want one of those red open brains, I love yours. Is it a red trachyphillia, loboplilia, or what the hell is it exactly. I've never seen any in san antonio LFS.

I feed my green trachyphillia a fat load of brine to each mouth about every 3 days, I also feed my favites brine directly, and I dose DT's every other day.
