Feeding Cleaner Wrasse?

Do I have to feed my cleaner wrasse, or does he just eat stuff that's already in the tank. I do have live rock and sand. I feed my triggers trigger formula, silversides, and live brine.

Cleaner Wrasses have very small mouths and that has to accounted for when feeding. All of mine (6 total) eat live and frozen brine and mysis shrimp plus live Blackworms. My 2 oldest ones (about 5 years old now) will eat diced up frozen Formula 1 & 2. Silversides are way to big Trigger Formula I am not familiar with.

I purchased a small one recently and it isn't able to get to the pieces of food. Its mouth is just too small. Cutting or smashing the pieces into super small pieces seems to fly right down into the substrate. I don't know what to feed effectively either.

Again I will say till they grow a bit feed them Live or frozen brine and frozen mysis shrmp and live blackworms. They can handle these and actually like them. My new red sea still won,t try worms but it is eating brine after a couple of days of being here in qt.

I agree with Pufferlover my cleaner loves brine and mysis, but he also eats anything else I put in.
