feeding during vacation

next saturday im leaving for vacation. im going to be gone for a week. normally i feed my clown about 3 formula 1 pellets every other day. how long could he go without food? i was wondering if i could feed him a little extra before i leave and just wait till i get home...but i dont know if he could go that long without food. i might have my neighbor come feed him once or twice over the week just to be sure but i dont know what to do. please help.

Ohh hell...Dont go on vacation..It will crash..."Tank ghoul" will come visit...
Make sure to leave detailed info on how you want things done...that way if anything comes up they will have a better chance on doing the right thing.

if feeding is what your woried about, get a automatic feeder.
NigerBang, your right, i was gone for 3 days and my MJ suction cups had falied and it fell on my mushroom rock, blowing sand all over the place. i almost gave up. almost

im going away for 10days lol. im not worried cuz i have hooked my tank up to my generator and my lfs guys are comming in every other day.

oh god dont scare me like that!!!! i have gone to 2 wrestling camps this summer and had my sister take care of the tank. i didnt have a timer so she even had to turn on and off. everything was ok. i just hope my good luck continues

. im pickin up a timer tomorrow for the lights so its just the feeding im worried about. should i just feed him a little extra and hope for the best or have someone come over mid week to feed him?

fish are normaly ok for 2-3 days without food. A week IMO is pushing it. I would have someone come over and feed them.

OR, you could get a automatic feeder and load it up with pellets and tell it when to feed.

yeah i thought about that but ive heard some horror stories about automatic feeders. im not as worried now cause i got my lights on a timer and i think my neighbor can come feed the fish once or twice....still hopin the tank goul doesnt pay me a visit though.
