Feeding Eels

I just bought a snowflake eel and I was reading on how to feed them and I'm a little confused. Can someone tell me how to feed them and what to feed them. I read that you should feed them with a stick???
He's supposed to eat tomorrow (2 times a week right?), so I want to buy what he/she needs today.

There are feeding sticks that are clear so they don't see them. I use a set of aqua tongs that are small. They suggest feeding with a stick so you don't get bit. I feed my SFE freeze dried krill that is his favorite. I also try to feed him squid pieces, shrimp and scallops. I feed them till he won't eat anymore. I feed him everyother day right now because he is small and that was a suggestion from someone on the board. My eel is around 9" long now. Make sure that you have plenty of hiding places for them. I have LR that he lives in some caves. He also likes to dig in the sand. Some people put in PVC pipe for them to hide in. Good Luck. They also jump out of the tanks so make sure you have a good top on the tank.

When mine bit me it hurt quite alot. He got the top of my wrist pretty good and there still is a tiny tiny scar. (u have to look carefully)... but what is worst was the infection that came with it. You have to be careful with that.
When I had my snow flake, i used a fork. I have pictures if you do a search: I finally have some good pictures under my name in photography.
i fed mine mostly prawn. But every once in a while i gave him clam as a treat. The most important thing of feeding is to do it at the same time u feed ur other fish. The eel will smell the food and come out and attack whether it's for him or not. I strongly recommend u feed ur fishies on one side and ur eel on the other. But there are plenty of food's out there and stop and shop or whatever is a good place to look for them.
