Feeding fish, dry food

I'm heading out on vacation for 2 weeks. I usually feed my fish with frozon food each day.
A friend has offered to help feed the fish while i'm away, but also thinking about switching them to dry food, so I can use a food timmer that will feed them.
Can anyone recommend one. I tried omega One dry food last night, most of the fish eat it, except the Cardinal fish. Can anyone recommand so kind of dry food that can be placed in one of these timers - maybe pellet food?
Also, would it be OK for feeding them every 2 days, for 2 weeks ?
Thanks
Craig

I've used a different feeder before and found that it needed an air line into it because condensation made the food damp and it wouldn't drop.
