feeding frozen food

I feel really dumb asking this question but I'm unsure of how to feed frozen food.
When I bought frozen cubes of algae, I had no idea how to feed it to my fish. Do I just drop it in the tank?
can someone please teach me how to do it?

You want to thaw it out for a little while and then I like to cut it up into little cubes, and feed it a little at a time. This has worked well for me for many years. Someone else might have a different way. Remember there is not a dumb question. Good Luck

I do the same...let it thaw a few mins then chop it up into little pieces. That way it disperses quickly into the tank and everyone can get a morsel!
Also before shoving it into the tank I add some zoe vitamins and mix it up really well. Then I know that all food has had a shot of vitamins before being digested.

so when the actualy food is being inserted into the tank, it will be in 90% liquid form right?

No vince it actually may be a bit mushy but it will still be little pieces. I always dice mine up as others above have said they do. The only fish I have that like large uncut pieces are my Blue Moon Angel, Puffs, and Clown Trigger. When I say uncut I mean I cut the end piece off as a whole slice for those larger fish to play with.

Yeah, you don't want it 90% water, I leave mine in a thing of water for only about 1 min., then take it out and cut it into small little pieces. The outside of the piece is usually softer, while the inside still frozen. The fish can break up the little pieces, and everyone gets some. I cut one cube into 10-12 small pieces. But it also depends on what size fish you have.

Don't make it too runny or no one will be satisfied with their meal!
I do the same and leave a few chunkier pieces for the triggers to devour. My tangs prefer little pieces so I make some smaller.
I add the food to both sides of the tank so there is not a war in one corner. The eels and triggers are the first to come to the top of the tank when they see me come in the room, so I make sure to drop some in on the other side of the tank as well.
