Feeding Mandarin Goby?

They will eat most live foods. The problem is if you have too many fish, or strong current they will not have enough time, or the speed to eat it. One of their natural live foods are copepods. You can find these on live rock. Other feeds could be brine shrimp or black worms. Frozen form is ok too. ;)

Good 1 Terry... glad to see someone reads (LOL) and have you actually seen there mouth, it is fairly large, when it needs to be, esp. if fighting..... , I have had one in my reef now for going on 8 yrs now.... (knock on wood) :D but they do like to graze throughout the day in a more peaceful ( and lots of live rock ) tank.... ,

I was kind of disappointed in those articles. They were very general and appeared to be copied from another source like a book rahter then personal experience.

Make sure when you buy this fish it will eat at the lfs.
I take a small pipette, and suck up either frozen brine shrimp, or live baby brine shrimp as mentioned above, then squirt a few squirts of food at one end of the tank.
The other fish are so preoccupied at that end eating, it is pretty easy to squirt some down to the Mandarine. He get's his share that way ;)

they love copepods.if you want to get them you will need atleast 100lbs of live rock to keep them happy.
