Feeding time

Hi Guys, I'm fairly new to SW (7 weeks) and have been watching this board for info . I have about 30 pounds of LR, water tests fine. Two days ago I got 2 false clowns. The problem I'm having is when it's feeding time I cut a sliver of frozen Formula One off the cube and plunk it into the water. It swirls around the top of the water for about 20 seconds and then I guess the flow of the powerheads makes it dive bomb to the bottom. The clowns try to eat it while it's on top of the water, but it sinks so fast that once it gets to the bottom they can't find it. I don't want them to starve. So, my question is, how do you guys feed your fish so they actually get to eat some food?

When I first got my clown, he was kindof shy about chasing the food, so I unplugged the powerhead during feedings. Just helped slow down the "prey" for the little guy. After a few days, I didn't need to anymore :D

You can also use a cheese grader. That's what I do.
Just grade it over the water. Make sure it's not a fine grade or it will be mush.

alternate different foods.
if it's flake food or frozen food then you go to next step; if it's homemood food or seafood pieces, do what they said above.
wet all food with top-off freshwater in a little cup. let it sit for a minute or two. pour water with food in the tank where the circulation is good.
if they get it they get, if they don't they don't. they won't starve, don't worry.

I dissolve a half of a frozen brine cube in the tank water and slowly pour it in, and they tear it up. If your worried about them eating mabee mix just a little brine in with your form 1. Mine don't care for it too much either, so I mainly just use shrimp.
