Feeding TINY lionfish!

Just got a 0.75-1" radiata lionfish. Its VERY healthy and active, but what should I feed it? I was told newborn livebreeders, small ghost shrimp, adult brine, copepods, and frozen mysis or brine. Does this sound like a good diet? Obviously I should get it on frozen foods asap, but whats a good way to get it feeding initially? And any tips?
Ive never had problems getting larger lions to start feeding with ghost shrimp and guppies/mollies then going over to krill and silversides within a few weeks.
thanks,
Jon

You can try mysis & cut up / small silversides, as you get the lion on frozen foods you can add more of a variety. If you use ghost shrimp, feed the ghost shrimp something nutritional first, than feed them to your lion.
I feed my lions a variety of foods like raw Shrimp, Crab, Mahi Mahi, Shark steaks, octo & squid from the grocery store. Silversides & Frozen sand eels from the LFS. I soak all of my foods in vitamins. You can try scallops but lions will not touch them, many do though.
You can pick up a feeding stick at your LFS to feed with.

Ok, sounds good. Ill see what I can do. I threw a tiny ghost shimp in the bag with him as it was nearing acclimation completion and he gulped it up immediately. But this tiny <1" lionfish is in a 20g reef with a good 40lbs live rock and lots of frags and macro so Im thinking it will be a little harder to get food to it. Time will tell I suppose.

Guppies certainly will never makeup any sizable portion of its diet, all I need is to GET it feeding so I can train it to take frozen. Aswell as a guppy or 2 a month when quests are over ***)

I would also add selcon and garlic extreme directly to the tank to ensure he gets extra nutrients needed his food wont have.tiny silverslides can also be given (ive gotten some realy small ones in packages before.if they are too large you can alwasy chop them up for him to make them bite sized for him.very nice looking lion and cool name.good luck.ps id stay clear of the brinein any form.

I had a bit of a time getting my new v.lion to eat. He was a good 3-4 inches but what finally made the difference was cutting up silversides on an angle and making them a little torn/shreadded looking so they somewhat resembled a ghost shrimp. Now he eats anything and everything.
