I really wouldn't recommend it, It's my opinion that if it doesn't come from the ocean or atleast mostly contain food from the ocean or ingredients found there, DON'T feed it to your fish. Some fruits and veggies contain cellulose that your fish can not break down.(atleast I think thats right someone correct me if im wrong) anyway, I wouldn't take a chance on feeding that stuff to your fish when there are so many formulated, dry, frozen, and live foods to choose from. If it's an inexpensive alternative food that your looking for I have used frozen raw shrimp from the grocery store along with squid, scallops, clams and mussels and the fish have done very well on those.

I agree. My yellow tang would not touch any kind of lettuce but loves the green seaweed and brine shrimp. Stick with what's natural to your fish in their normal habitat. :)

My naso is a vegan and he only eats greens. He eats a ton of seaweed (Science Nutrition), romaine lettuce and leaf spinich. Try some spinich (The leaf) I grow it in my back yard. He is the biggest and the healthiest tand you will ever see, what a delight to see him be a vegan like me. NO FRUITS THIS MAY HARM THE POOR THING!
