Feeding

I used to feed my fish 3 times a day. I was experiencing wicked algae blooms so I cut down on the feeding to 2 times a day. I have 2 regal tangs so I try to vary the diet and feed alot of vegetables. Apparently I was doing what I was suppose to because my tangs are experiencing HLLE. I started mixing the food with Zoe and Zoecon, but when I do this with flakes it makes a mess and when i put it in the tank it looks like dust. I think its hard for the fish to eat. What should I feed to keep the peices a little bigger. They seem to eat better when the flakes are larger. I also give them broccoli soaked in zoe and zoecon a few times a week and then I also give them carrots soaked in the same. The HLLE is caused by a defficiancy in vitamin B12 so the broccoli should work for that, and I've heard that alot of public aquariums feed their fish carrots so I figure its worth a try. Any suggestions on the feeding though, what do you all feed your fish?

I need my tangs let alone all my other fish sea wed soaked in zoe and other vitemen suppliments. I also feed them mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and small pellet food soaked in the vitemens the pellets do not brake down like flakes. I feed mine three times a day and yes I do have to say that feeding this amount does cause alge but nothing a good clean up crew or aquarium magnet scraper will not cure fast. I hope this helps.

I found the 'formula' food worked great. The ingredients read like a seafood salad. I would alternate between formula 1 and 2. I used the frozen version. Thawed of course. And I would sometimes chuck the water I thawed it in because it became very cloudy.
