feeding

I was wondering if I could get some input on food. I've been having some trouble with brown diatoms, not so much on the sand, but a lot on the rocks and the overflow, etc. Nitrates are also pretty high, around 60. I'm concerned about overfeeding so I wondered if you all thought what I'm feeding is about right or too much.
I usually rotate mysis and formula one every other day for 2 green chromis, a rainbow wrasse, and a false perc clown. Plus I have a brittle star, cleaner shrimp, and 20 or so turbo snails + 20 or so hermits and 3 emerald crabs.
Yesterday, the wrasse went back to the LFS and now I have a mimic tang to replace it. I cut the food to half the block of frozen mysis or formula one + algae sheets for the tang. How should I be modifying my feeding? Any input is much appreciated.

cut back to 8hrs and do you have a good clean up crew in there to sift through your LR and substrate for uneaten fish food?

Are you using Tap or RO/DI water? How is your flow? What is the turnover ratio in your tank? how much water do you change monthly? Do you have a Fuge? Sump? Agree on the lighting as well, 8 hours or so. However, it seems to me that the Nitrates are your problem.
Also, the amount your feeding needs to be enough that will allow the fish to eat all of it in a few minutes...no more.

If you have plenty of live rock they will graze off of it, and be fine. Sorry I ansered the wrong post.
