So Ive had my BTA for about two weeks now and have had trouble getting it to eat, so last night after the lights had been off for alittle I decided to give it a shot and feed it again since it hasnt been looking good. Well I gave it some squid first and right once i touched the squid to it, it took it all in no time, so then I gave it a little sliver of a sliver side and the same thing.
Are you suspose to feed them at night? Tank perimeters are all good and its been running for over two years so I guess maybe mine just rather have a night feeding.

Your anemone will choose to eat when you offer it food. If it accepts the food then its hungry if not well then its not hungry. If your lighting is good, water chemistry is right you can go quite a long time without directly feeding your animal. Most of what mine gets is from the water column when I feed my corals, or from when I feed my fish. Pieces will float into its tenticals and it will eat. Or if you have anemone fish that feed it, this too will eliminate the need to feed your anemone. If you do feed it IMO its best to mince the food you offer it as its eaiser to digest in small pieces.
