A friend of my husband is taking down his tank, and sold me all his live rock for 50.00. there is about 75 lbs of pretty nice looking rock. why do i feel so guilty?? i asked a price and thats what he said.
he is also selling his tank and fish, if anyone is interested i can get you a phone number. dont know how much he wants for tank, fish, (several tangs, coral beauty, and few assorted ) sand and wet/dry. its a 75 gal.
also do you think 125 lbs of rock too much for a 55 gal. that my 50 to 60 lbs and his 75 mixed together. all of it will be moved to a 150 in about 8 mo.

Why feel guilty? It doesn't sound like you said "hey, I'll give you 50 bucks." Or that you said you would weigh it and give him a few bucks a pound and then lied on the weight. He gave a price  and you got a good deal :D
The amount of LR is relative. If the fish have move to room, then it is fine. You can have 125lbs of extremely small dense rock or 125lbs of very porous huge pieces. If you've got them in the tank and it is OK, then you're good to go :) Now if you bought all his fish and put them in there, well, that could be an issue :D

i've got about 75# of LR in my 55.. mix of fiji and Alor.... it's about maxed. The alor is reallylight and takes up a lot of space.. the fiji is dense.
Thats a good price. I got mine from someone taking down their tank and i paid $1.00/lb from him. That's a great price!!! No curing either... even better

You should be ashamed and feel guilty, all that live rock for only 50 bucks? I think the best way for you to feel better and to get over your guilt is to sell it all to me for 25 bucks. :D
