I found my emerald crab dead today. When I grabbed it out I noticed it was a female and had eggs in her. I pulled back that area and there were about a 50 red eggs. Do they die as they lay eggs?

A lot of the eggs fell out.

Good question..I wonder if the one I recently lost may have been a female as well. She was small in size like yours while my other one was larger. I don't have the answer to your question but I am going to say I don't think they die but could be wrong. I would like to know as well though for sure.

well I had some turbo snails and they all died. Then i just went out and bought nass. snails. They are doing great. Then this happened. All my fish and hermits are fine. So are my corals. Like my zoo's and my xenia.

Why don't you put the eggs back in your aquarium? Maybe they will hatch if they are fertile. If not, they will be fresh fish food.
