Few 90 gal. pics

Tank has been up and running for about 7 weeks I have a pro clear 150 series wet/dry filter w/ protein skimmer and approx. 25lbs of live rock and 80lbs live sand. I am fairly new to this the last salt water tank I had was a 55 gal 15 yrs ago.Any and all ideas welcome. Trying to decide reef or fish. I need suggestions

I say reef! I absoluetly love corals and some of the reef tanks on here are amazing! Also I do believe that some of the really cool fish you would have a fish only tnak for a bit too big for your tank. Just my .02!

Nice....i would put some more LR, take out the bubbles, and also put some PH's for movement. Do you have a skimmer on the sump? Looking good

Looking good, but this is my .02. I would switch to a black background, showcases the color in your fish and coral much better, and add a lot more live rock. This is a slow process though, and you are on your way. Can't wait to see pics in 6 months from now.

i think bubbles are bad because they get stuck in the fishes gills and suffacates them

depends on how much money you have to spend... a lot= coral, otherwise fish are cheaper and easier to maintain...

Nice rock work dude. I would also add morre live rock and lose the bubbles
I have heard from several people that bubbles are bad.Just tank your time your on the right track

Bubbles are gone and Im slowly adding more live rock. I went to the lfs and they just got a new batch of lr. It will be a little while b4 its ready to go. As for the sail fin I was under the impression a 90 gal was more than sufficent but im no expert.

IN your opinion what is the correct size for a tang?
anywhere from a 120 up in my opinion. tangs can be housed in smaller aquaria for a small amount of time (a month or two at max, any longer and ull stress the tang out like crazyy) and minimal for that small tank would be a 50 i think

ive had mine for over a year and a half (my 75 was fish only)
they seem to be ok
how can you tell if they are streesed?

shes out and about 24/7 eats like a hog and all the tangs are bright colors clear eyes, they graze on the rocks and power heads and even eat out of my hand.. :happyfish

good looking tang. I have the same one it eats very well and is out and about all the time. Mine does not look as healthy as yours. Colors are faded. The only thing I could come up with is that he is stressed due to the fact I had to replace the filter. my original filter, a mega flow model 2, was warped and the cover constantly fell into the sump it was only about 5 weeks old. I replaced it with a pro clear 150 w/ protein skimmer. I did not reuse the old bio balls, I probably should have. Do you know if by doing this the tank will cycle all over again?
