few ric questions

i just picked up a rock from lfs and they didn't now if they were florida or yuma.
1) whats the difference between florida and yuma?
2) can u frag rics the same as reg mushrooms?

You can frag the FL ones same as a mushroom, but the Yumas are too picky and may just die, better to let them split on their own or force them to grow babies by turning them way from the light so they move towards it, leaving a piece of the foot that will become another ric.
the differences are sometimes hard to tell, depending on their health, but for the most part yumas have a raised mouth and the tentacles are uneven sizes while FL has a regular mouth, not bulging out, and their tentacles are even sized through out the body.

Yea, its hard describing the differences, but if there was a pic I would be able to tell which it is no prob.

floridas have a smooth mouth, where yummas have bubbles all the way up to opening.

Mmmm, those I would say are yumas. They have larger bubbles around the outside of the circle than the inside, whereas the florida variety have the same size bubbles all around it, with some longer tentacles around the ring of it (2 layers to be exact).
If I didnt know better, Id say those look like mine the one time they came in contact with calcium supplement and got burned. Do they bubbles inflated during the day?
