Fighting clowns?

i just got home from work and noticed my slightly larger clown severly messing with the smaller one, chasing him all around the tank. what's going on? They're were from the same tank at the LFS and they're the only fish in the tank. Are they just playing rough, hungry, what. Please help because id hate to lose the little one, plus i can't stand bullies. If he goes, you better believe the next fish i get will be a Lion to take care of his tough ass.

I think they are just sorting out who is top dog in the tank. In the store, they were among many others so the bullying got spread around. Now it is just the two and one of them wants to be on top.
What kind of clown are they? If the are maroon, the females are notorious for beating the heck out of the little male at first.....but he usually pulls through.
As for the lionfish idea, that would be an expensive meal!

he's always darted at the little one, but it never really seemed to affect him. but now the more the little guy trys to get away the more he gets messed with. Plus i have over 100lbs. LR, so it's not like he doesn't have a place to hide at. Oh, and trust me, that clown will defin. get a taste of his own medicine one way or another, whether it be a trigger, or god help him, a lion.

they are both perculas. i know it'll be expensive but atleast he'll get what's coming to him. Plus what's another 25$ on top of the $1500 ive already spent and the $1500 i have to go. God, lol, sometimes i wonder what i got myself into.

They are just figuring out who is going to be the male and who is going to be the female. I had the same problems with my clowns. In fact for awhile mine had a trial separation, one on of side of the tank and one on the other side. They eventually made up and are friends again. Just so that you know the larger one is the female.

i don't know how good of advice that is coming from a steelers fan. GO BROWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to touch your question , I just wanted to say that both the Browns and the Steelers will be bowing to the RAVENSRAVENS this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they r probably figuring out who is the dominate one in the tank but if it gets worse separate them

Here's whatcha do. Rearange your tank. Don't go crazy, just reshape some live rock to make it look like a different surrounding. By doing this, your "bully" or alpha male, will feel inferior because he thinks he's in a new tank. I wish I could take credit for this one alone, but the guy at my LFs, whom happens to be a god of the underwater world suggested it to me a few years back and it's worked every time. Especially with members of the same species. Good luck, and write back about your results.

Mlwoods, I am sorry if I had known you were a Browns fan i would not have used any big words. I will write so you can understand. Theys gunna be fine. They jus havin a little spat. Soon enuf theys be friends again.
Well I did my good deed for the day by helping out the less fortunate.
