filefish vs feather duster

I just added a Hawiian feather duster to my tank today. The lady at the lfs said none of my fish would bother it but my filefish has started picking at the soft end (opposite the feathers). Will this kill the duster or is it just dead skin sort of as he grows.

Nevermind I answered my own question. And for any of you who might be curious in the future... Yes filefish may eat feather dusters as well as other sessile inverts. They are definitely not reef safe. Luckily I figured this out before he killed the duster and the lfs I purchased him from took him back. Time for a second tank. 1 for good fish and 1 for those who dont play nice!
