Filter and Fuge Design - Please comment

I am planning on upgrading my 65 gallon tank to 125 gallon. Currently I have an Eshopps Sump (rated up to 100 gallons). I would like to piggyback this with a fuge that I have designed. Let me know your thoughts and any changes you think I need to make.
I'm not sure if I did the picture right. I have attached it - not sure if it will show in post. I guess we'll find out.

If you do it this way just make sure if you have a failure at any point it doesn't cause overflow or other major problems. Basically I lay out my sumps like your fure. Water comes in the first area and that water is skimmed and dumped right back in that area again, then I have my "fuge" portion and then the return.

Diagram looks good.

Thanks. What do you think about the bio-balls and sponge? They are currently in the sump with my 65 gal.
But after I add the fuge will I still need them?

IMHO I would forget the second (left) container with the skimmer. And put the macros in the refugium section of the other (right) container.
my .02

My only concern with that is skimming pods. I wanted to keep the other sump so I could have someplace for anything else I may want to add (heaters, uv, etc...). Plus increasing my overall water volume by 20 gallons.

Anybody else have any suggestions - I am planning on starting this tomorrow.
In my very limited experience, I used what I thought was "normal" for the pvc between the left and right tanks in your picture. like 1" or 1 1/4". I had to use 2" to get the water to drain faster.
Just an observation worth .02 at most.

Good point - thanks. I will add 2" inch PVC to drain into the fuge. What I'm not sure about is do I still need to have the bio-balls and sponge?
