:happy: Well, went and bought us a new protein skimmer and lights for our tank. The lights are coralife deluxe series dbl linear strips w/fans. 4- 65 watt bulbs. Then the skimmer is (i know!) a red sea prizm deluxe model. So far, I am real happy with both. My ? is, the guy at the lps said to get ride of both our other filters, one was a hang on and the other a fluval canister. Actually he said to get rid of the hang on and just run carbon in the canister. Im not computing in my brain why I would just run carbon and not use the whole thing for added filtration. At the moment the only things in the 55 gal is a cc star and 2 hermit crabs plus about 35 lbs of live rock . We are trying to get out water levels down (nitrates mostly) before we put any more fish or get any coral and shrooms. So your opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx alot.
