Filter Feeders

Right now I have a porcelain crab and a feather duster. I've just been adding a squirt of Cyclopeeze to the tank once a week. Am I supposed to thaw the stuff out in some tankwater first and should i turn the skimmer off when feeding cyclops? Also is the stuff in it actually alive? I'm thinking of starting to dose some of the green DT's plankton as well, good idea?

GOOD IDEA, turn off skimmer, and just a little of the forzen CYLO goes along way, no need to defrost.

I disagree with thawing always thaw out the foods before adding to the tank if not you run into a possibility of a frozen peice falling into something that could kill it.

I never thaw out my frozen CYCLO "it is so fine" thawing would make a big mess, but other frozen foods I do.
