Filter is making a grinding sound

My marineland 350 is making a grinding sound. I have cleaned it out twice but it continues to do it. I dont think its affecting the filtering process but its annoying to listen to. Do you think its time for a new 350?

sounds like you just need a new impeller...

yea I was thinking that but I went on marineland's website and didnt see one for sale for the 350

check e-bay or some online fish places, or better yet, google marineland 350 impeller....

i had the same problem with my aquaclear and the impeller was coming out and knocking around. i just hammered it back in and its fine now.

Or be crooked, buy a new one, take the impeller out and return it with the busted one!!

+1 new impellor. same thing happened on my 280. i got sick of it and got a refugium

Pour water in the filters to get it going.
Pull out the empeller with the magnet and rinse the magnet beccause sometimes it gets jammed and clean it. and adjust it till it stops making noise.
