I could use some of your ideas about which filter to get. I have a canister type but it has started leaking
I have it sitting in a cake pan, now thats pretty. Need to stay on a budget. Could go about $150.00 and not get divorced...maybe

Thanks

I have a Fluval FX5 cannister on my 125 tank. It's easy to maintain and I have not had any problems with it. I think you can get it at about that price on a certain well known website.

How big is your tank, and what's your biolad? Also, is it a reef, FOWLR, or FO? Any special size requirements?

well granny lol... u could go with a sweeet emperor by marine land.. or if you want set up a fuge/sump under the tank. the emperor has two sides make one the sump and one a mini fuge..

Is it possible to fix the leak? Most acrylic/plastic leaks can be fixed with silicone. If its a good manufacturer, I'd call their tech support for help; whine loud enough and they may even offer to replace the bad part. Tell them, as a last resort, that you're going to post your experience on all the fish-geek forums if they don't. I'm a real big believer in calling tech support; usually well worth the call.
