Filter Question

I set up a 20 high tank for seahorses only. I used the sand from home depot and I put a couple of pcs of live rock from my existing tank. My question is would a Millenium 2000 filter be acceptable for this tank?

It all depends on the bio load and if the filter can keep up with it. I dont use a mechanical filter on my reef tank, just a protien skimmer with LR and DSB.

I have a 20gal tank that I am running only a M2000. Its been fine for the past 3 months. My nitrates are high though. I only have one fish in there.

With seahorses...the current strength is what matters...too strong of current will carry the food away before they eat...and too strong will also stress them to the point of not eating=death.
Seahorses are an extremely delicate and time consuming specimen...I hope you have done thorough research into their habitat and care prior to attempting to keep them...they are enjoyable, but difficult to keep...and any bad water chemistry will stress them to death.
Good luck.
