I recently purchesed a Eshopps sump with the dimensions of 18*12* 16 i went to put it under my tank and much to my dissapointment it didnt fit. Im going to have a custom stand built but also want to add a refugium. The refugium im eyeballing has the dimensions of 24*12*16 and is also and Eshopps. My question is can i have the sump go directly to the refugium then to the tank of do i have to have 2 overflows? Second are refugiums really the best way to go as far as filteration? Lastly Could these 2 sumps plus an xp3 canister fit on the back of a 55 gal. thank you for any responses

You can do this bulkheads
the one on the left is water in (skimmer heater etc) one on right is water out
