This place is awesome! I have been in the bis for a couple years and then got out due to a major tank crash. Guess what, Im back (with more money). I was hoping that some of you could suggest a good filter for me. I am setting up a fish/reef 60g with 20 sump/refuge. I have read about a turf filter and it sounds worth while, but I would like some mechanical filters too. Here are my questions:
What do you guys think about having the turf filter in the fuge?
What is the best filter for about 80g?
What is the middle of the line filter?
What should I stay away from?
Same thing for a skimmer?
Is a skimmer needed with a turf filter?
Any comments are greatly appriciated.

if it is just a 60g display, then I would just do the sump/fuge and put a skimmer in there, you don't need all the other filters. maybe do like a 40g breeder for the sump so you can have a nice size fuge and do a DSB with some chaeto and then get a good skimmer.
