Filtration for 180 gallon

What kinds(brands and size) of wet/dry filter and protien skimmer should I get for it? Right now all I have is magnum 350 canister. Also there is an auction on ---- for a wet/dry fiteration system called the Tidepool 1 made by marineland, is it any good?

I also found plans for a DIY trickle filter here. Is it worth making? Come on people help me out here!

if you are doing a reef tank, all you need is a sump and a protien skimmer. if you feel you must have a wet dry filter you can build a custom one for your tank for around $40 not including the pump.

IMO your are going to spend $$ I would search all the bboards and ask/ get more info. So you can decide on what you truly want. see pics of simular 180g. This way you can get something you want for as little or much $$ the first time you try. I wouldn't worry alot of ppl even the moderators frequent other bboard.
