Right now I have a 20-30 gallon sump underneath my tank. All it has in it is a pump right now to return the water. There was an external canister filter, but it was recently disconnected. I'd prefer to get rid of it and do something else, but I'm not sure what to do. I want to turn the sump into a fuge, but I would like to get this filtration thing under control first. Should I just reconnect the canister filter or is there a better way I can do this? That canister filter is a pain.
