Hello,
I have a 150 gallon tank that I am going to make into a FOWLR. I plan on having 200 pounds live rock and 150 pounds live sand. My question is do I need a wet/dry filter or will a really good canister filter work. I plan on having a protein skimmer either way. I was told with the live rock I wouldnt need a wet dry. I do not have over flows built in and it is all glass. Please let me know your thoughts.

Well if your a diy kinda guy you could get a overflow box and build your own sump/fuge for far less doh than a brand new wet/dry system

do yourself a favor. Buy Hob OF or drill the tank and install OF's. Then build a sump and a fuge. You will better off and happier. Its very very simple to?do.
