i got about 10# of live rock in my 12 gallon aquapod today. i was going to put live rock in the back filtration cartriges but i need smaller pieces and some more money. all i have is the blue sponge in the back and no filter material. should i put in the filter media that came with the tank ( bio balls/ ceramic rings) or should i wait untill i can afford some more live rock?

Hey...I am not sure about the aqua-pod but I made a few mods to my Bio-Cube. I cut out a piece of plastic to increase water flow from the first chamber to the second. Took out the stock filter and bio-balls. Added LR rubble to the first and second compartment. Took out the blue sponge and instead added filter floss to the top of the second chamber. I am also running bags of Chemi-pure and Carbon. Then the third compartment has the heater and a MJ1200 in it.
Hope that answered your question.
