fin fungus

my achilles tang has a small patch of fungu on the tip of one his pectoral fins...what is the best treatment for that.
this tang is going to be the death of me!

Give a lot more info about the problem. Size, growth rate, onset, details needed.... How long have you had the fish and, aside from the problem, is the fish ok? Swimming eating ok? How long have you had the fish? What are you feeding it?

i just noticed (today) a small white tuft (almost like cotton) on the very tip of the fishes pectoral fin. the spot is about 1/8 of an inch or smaller. i've had the fish for about 4mos now. the tang swims fine and still has very dark color. i feed him nori, formula 2 flakes, and frozen brine. i soak the food in Zoe, garlic, and Selcon depending on which day it is.

Hey fishtanker,
I'm from Albany too and I also have an achilles. I've had mine for 6 months. Despite a long bout of ich, he's nice and fat and seems to be happy otherwise.
By the way, do you know there is a local reef club starting up? First meeting is this Saturday, May 31st.
