Fin Problem

My Cinnamon Clown has a few tears in its right pectoral fin. I have never seen fin rot. Is this a symptom? He is in a 30g FO with a Velvet Damsel. I have never seen the damsel pick on the clown so I dont believe its an injury. If anyone has an idea let me know. Thanks!

Do you have any crabs?My fish get torn fins from crabs and also other fish.It is possible that even though you don't think the damsel is bothering it,it could be.All it takes is one nip that could cause a split fin.Fin rot looks just like it sounds.When you say tears,I think fish bite.Just keep an eye on it.

Get some Kordens Poly Aqua from your LFs (it is a heavy duty type fin repairer) it works like a charm at fixing nipped or torn fins on a fish. Also, it is a water conditioner so you can feel safe using it.
