fin rot? or just an agressive tank mate?

hey people!!!!!!!!!! how yall doing? that's great to hear! well, here we go, I had 2 blue damzels in a 20 gal tank, and one was running the other into the corner, so this last sat I went and got 2 more blue damzels hoping that he might lay off the 1 in the corner a little.......well, I came home tonight, and one of the new damzels is lying on the bottom, and the fins looked like they had been eaten off.........will they do that to each other? and the other was straight up and down in a seperate corner, the fins are jagged as if they have been nipped at, the only thing that I'm wondering about is that the new one that's still alive has a couple scales raised, and back by his tail, it has a little flesh missing........would it be safe to move the guy to my reef tank to heal? or is there a possible fin rot going on? the original fish that's in the corner has no battle wounds, or fins nipped away.........

From my experience, there can only be 1 Blue Damsel in a tank. They may start out ok, but after a while, 1 will kill all the others. I have several Damsels left in my tanks, but none of the same species.
Oh yeah... I drive a purple 86 camaro at Wichita International.

If it were fin rot, the fins and tails would look like cotton puffs on them..Damsels can be VERY aggressive..Im surprised they didnt tell you that were you bought them..Your best bet would be to take the one thats been beat on and put it in another tank, or bring it back to the pet store..Alot of places will take them back and keep them in a non-agressive tank..

Well, thanks but unfortunatly I lost the Damzel........some ppl think it's only a Damzel, but I hate to loose anything!!!!!!!
Hey Sheracr123 e-mail me and maby we can get together sometime.........I don't currently have anything out at the track........yet, but if I can get my SBC sold, I will finaly have all the stuff to put the front of mine on the ground.......and I'm still waiting on Holzman to finish my rear end! my addy is.....Chevdrgtrk@yahoo.com
