Fin Rot?

I recently lost a Tomato Clown to what I think was Fin Rot. I did not recognize it at the time, but upon further research, I am confident that is what did her in. In the future is there a reef safe treatment for fin rot, or is a hospital tank with antibiotics the only answer.
Thanks for the help.

You can feed your fish, say several times a wk, with garlic soaked food. While garlic is known to assist with the prevention and treatment of parasities, it is also has some antibacterial qualities to it as well as it being an immune boaster. Additionally, use a good vitimin supplment like Zoe or Zoecon. Prevention is better than treatment.
If a fish in a reef tank develops a full-blown bacterial infection, there is no choice but to place in a hospital tank and treat with antibiotics.
