Why do you have a skimmer and a refugium?
The refugium replaces the skimmer. The refugium is for copods which eat the waste that the skimmer takes out.

glad to hear you have finally achieved success, and i still think the tank is beautiful
many prople use both, but if you go skimmerless, you really should have a refugium, having both will not hurt any, they just work together, i have seen several systems with both and they do work good together :D

Well, fshub. Your advice as well as compliments are always useful. Again thank you!!
Jester, I have a huge coral load, as well a couple of messy eaters. That along with my over feeding, I really need both. I also have a wet dry(bio-balls) as well as 4in dsb and almost 2lb per gallon of live rock. I'v played around with alot of diffrent things and this works the best for me. Hate it up-sets you so much... CLICK HERE TO SEE MY REEF.
