Finally, the whole reason I bought the big tank in the first place!

My new Yellow tang. I originally bought the 125 to have a school of them. I took a different path, but finally got one! It seems to be settling in finally. Picked it up yesterday and at first, the big tang didn't take a liking to him, but seems a lot mellower today. Sorry about the blurry picture. It's still a bit skittish and seems to be camera shy.

Hope all works out but a Quarentine period would have been the safer way to go. Especially if dealing with a reef tank where if the fish gets ill the treatment options are quite limited. Good luck.

The LFS I bought him from medicate all the fish tanks. The tangs (four of them) been in the tank for about 3 weeks with no ill signs. I've been checking on them since they came in and watched them eat more than once. This is the only LFS in town that I don't Qt the fish from. I have most of my fish, except the LMB and the other tang, from that LFS, and all are healthy.

Thanks Polarpooch,
That's my big squamosa clam. He's 7" or 8" long now and growing fast. The clams are my favorite inverts in the tank.
yetex,
My girlfriend is the big Yellow Tang fan. The school of tangs idea was the compromise for her to agree to get such a big tank. I bought the vlamingii as a rescue fish from another LFS here. The poor guy was covered in ich when I got him and I hate seeing cool fish die in inept LFSs. He's starting to get big and a little aggressive now, especially at feeding time, so I may have to trade him in, which sucks, because he was the second fish in the tank and is really cool :( .
