i have finished an anti-bacterial treatment for red slime which
from the looks of things was successful. but now i have MEGAFOAM, how do i get it to stop foaming? i assume the answer to be water changes-many.

Hi:
your antibacterial is most likely erythromycin or a -mycin derviative and it changes the surface tension of the water (hence the reason your foaming and skimmers prolly going crazy). Do 2 things, water changes and add carbon (change the carbon out after 2-3days).

Yep, you will need to run some carbon filtration in there, and probably change out the carbon every few days until you get medication residual out.
Hopefully, your tank is FO?
