Finished moving tank between houses...when can I start putting livestock back?

I moved my tank between two houses. I first moved all the rock, live stock and most of the water. Then about 6 of us moved the tank itself. We actually left the sandbed so it was never disturbed. Of course that probably added an additional 200 lbs. We weighed the tank at one point on a big scale one of the guys had...712 lbs.
Anyhow, it is now up and running for 1.5 days with everything back in except the fish. I used all the old water, but changed out about 20%. The water chemistry is the same as the tub holding the livestock.
Is it "safe" to assume I can go ahead and put livestock back or do I need to wait for a 2 week cycle? My maine coon has made friends with the livestock and I am eager to get them back in the tank.

i want to say you'll probably be okay, but i would wait another day or so to watch the ammonia. i'm sure other people will chime-in on this, but depending on how long your rock was out of the water (and whether you kept it wet) and how bad the sand got stirred up, you might not have much of a spike if you have one at all.

Thanks. The rock was out of the water from the time it took me to move it from the tank into the tub on the floor. The rocks remained wet and each tub was temperature controlled with aeration. I would say the stand was stirred up very very little as the moving process was very slow with how heavy the tank actually was.
Yeah so far no measurable ammonia...but I am sure no matter how long I wait, as soon as I add my livestock that is when the ammonia will spike...haha.

712 pounds and you moved it....You took a big risk and in a year you may find all your critters on the floor. Keep a sharp eye out any kind of leak. It's pretty easy with saltwater...find any salt build up and that's the spot. Check it regularly for leaks and bowing.
You can put your livestock back in, I moved 2 hours away and had no problems with die out from the rocks, which is what would cause an ammonia spike.
Even though all seem the same...acclimate your critters like they are new arrivals, that's the safest way. I would keep the tank dark for the day and not feed the fish...they are very stressed from the tub and the move.
