Finnex 30 gal lighting?

Just checking to see if this new lighting for the Finnex would work? (New Package we put together with Finnex has 6x24w T5 lighting includes 2 led moons!) less heat then 150w Hqi! Would this work? I'm online getting ready to buy.....

144w vs.. 150w... about the same heat unless you've got some fans blowing across the bulbs... you'll get more even coverage with the T5HOs...
Its really up to you... want bulb customizability or can you not live without the shimmer?

how much does this new package run kat? i might just look into doingthat myself when i get ready to get a finnex

I'd get more coverage with the 6 T5's?

Which route would you go if it were your tank? I've been looking at your tank; which is gorgeous.

kat, i like that price more than i like the 615 LOL thats a helluva price IMO, id say go for it, after looking at all the tanks ive seen on here, i gotta say i prefer the T5HO's over the MH, simply cause there is so much customization you can do with the bulb combinations

tough call...you can really customize the bulbs and get pop from all colors without having a really blue tank with the T5HOs... with the MH you're stuck to picking from only one color bulb... I had to use a MH because my Tunze is only 15.5x15.5inch footprint.. if it was 24+inches I would have probably gone T5HOs..
$480 is a steal for a 30G finnex lol..

I've always been more partial to the T5, you are very knowledgable it seems on all aspects of this nano so I was hoping you'd say T5..

Yes after you and Bos pointed out the tank to me; I started searching.. Unlike you two I'm not handy with tools so it'll be another $85 for the stand..Guess I'll have to go through check out to see what the shipping is going to be. THANKS for the advice...

I'll be honest... I got handy with tools on this project... before it, I was helpless LOL...

about time that I learned though..

lol painstaking process.. did you get to pick any different bulbs or do they only come one way?

It didn't really specify; so my guess would be all one way. shipping wasn't bad; 44.81

terry, i checked out that tank your getting, VERY NICE deal, its a limited time offer thing, they're not gonna be doin it for very much longer, an its cheaper than the 4x24w system
sure wish we had the money to order it

Yes they said that light configuration was limited time only.. NOW I just have to sit and wait.......
