I know about the sting ,there was some liverock that had some on it prior shipping and I was cleaning it for a friend thats a wholesaler and it was like I had played with a jellyfish even half dead it's quite anoying .I was wondering about how it would be in a reef tank with fish and all, thanks

There like hydroids, they are hardy and many shapes and colors but you cant have anything near them and fish hopefully learn quike to stay away. IMO I would not keep them.

wow I have two different types and love them..they love intense lighting..and I even move it around at times and have never bothered me or my fish...in fact my clown goby loves to hang out in it..I don't think I would pull it out and lick it or rub it all over me..but like I said has never stung me at all...
