I have a red firefish right now, was thinking of ordering a purple one. I read that they may fight but havent heard any problem on the boards here. Can I order the purple one? will they get along? Anyone mix the two?

I have mixed the two in a 40 gallon tank before. I did have 5 red and 4 purple firefish. They chased eachother, but no damage was ever done. I would be hessitant to add one with just one firefish they would probably kill eachother, I have never tried it with such a small number of firefish though

Well, I ordered the purple firefish, we'll see if they get along, I heard they do best as pairs, so one red and one purple equals one pair!! Also got one scarlet hermit, one blue legged, and finally and emerald crab!

They will only do good in pairs if they are a mated pair. You might have a fight on your hands!!!
