Most fish will eat as often as you feed them, but they don't need to. Feed them a high quality commercially prepared food (
I'm pretty pleased with new life spectrum ). Don’t get all worked up about trying to imitate the fish’s natural food. It’s one of the biggest b.s. myths in fish keeping. I generally feed my fish twice a day, but sometimes once a day. In an aquarium setting, most people's goal is maintenance, not exponential growth. One of the positive characteristics of being a poikilothermic animal is that fish don’t need to consume nearly as much food as a warm-blooded organism. Fish convert their food much more efficiently than warm blooded mammals. Your fish will be fine if you skip a day or two, regardless of how pitiful and starved they look at you when you pass by the tank. :happyfish Don’t fall for their act!
