I wouldn't do it... the puffer may bully it. firefish are very very very wussy in temperament so they may end up starving to death from competition for food or getting stressed to death...or even worse, getting their fins and such nipped off.
You are more than welcome to try, just get ready to do some damage control.
If you try it, introduce the fish with the lights off for 24hours so the puffer goes to sleep and doesn't attack it right away.
