He has been in the tank for 5 days. After lights out he completely closes and hides? Is this normal? :thinking: My clowns do not like that to much.

Shrinkage is normal, and at first hiding from the over aggressive clownfish can also be normal. Not to worry yet, as long as he is still coming out.

Thanks Thomas. Appreciate the good news/words. I am hoping he settles in and finds his new home enjoyable. I have not had much luck with anemones, I am hoping to turn the corner with this one!

I've had some anemones that stay out all night long and some that close up at night.. I think it depends on the personality of the anemone It doesnt harm anything though for them to do either one... though the clowns will feel much more secure if its open and beautiful
