first clowns...is this normal

my clown is doing a routine of swimming to the top of the water then taking a dive to the bottom and swimming in the output current.. he seems to be rubbing up against the glass a lot too.. the other on is just hiding in the rocks parameters are
nitrites 0
ammonia 0
nitrates 10

My clown use to skim the top of the water. Normal as far as I know.
