First Corals, a little worried

Please pardon my ignorance as this is my first saltwater setup but i reccently bought two corals, one toadstool and one pineapple brain coral.
I put them in this afternoon and little parts of the two corals are excreting a little bit of slime (looks like fine spiderwebs) is this normal?
Also my toadstool base (where its attached to live rock) tore in half during transport, from what i have read this will probably heal over time, is this correct?
Ph: 8
Amm: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5
S/G: 1.025
Cal: 450
Phosphate: 0
Lighting 120w T5's (upgrading to 300w halides when they arrive)
Thanks for everyones help

Well, Im not sure if this is true beacuse im not a coral expert. The slime is there defense so it makes htem slippery and hard to pick up. The splitting I think is them reproducing.

if u r getting mh light, make sure to start the corals at the bottom of the tank. with the white stuff, it is what leathers secrete when stressed. with good water flow, it will go away. leathers will secrete slime to get rid of detritus buildup. remember medium flow and lighting for those 2 corals u hv mentioned.
